Week #112
It was a great week. A bit working hard and slow. The call is to increase the pace, but I want to make sure I keep the quality and my agency.
Let’s take a short newsletter this week. Its Ganesh Anant-Chaturthi (ganesh visarjan) and India winning against Germany in Chess olympiad 2026, on the day evening I am writing this, so a bit of exciting times to be living.

Beautiful written. The book was good, some wierd stuff was there minus that thing, but the rest of the book was just worth devouring. Making money is not a big deal right? but what hard is to do something that is worth for my life. You can find and be a data annotation and a “shepherd” of agents in the age of ai but if you are crushed in the soul, its not worth it? You have basically sold your soul to the money in doing so right? Is it worth living for?

DHH Opening Keynote on Rails World 2026
- Look at the things I am not doing
- This is very optimistic, to an extent that it drives me forward, really. Like what is the worst thing that can happen? Losing the job right? I am sure I’ll be able to survive without a job at least spiritually, but not materialistically
- I get this joy but it doesn’t creates that satisfaction of hard work you know? Its there but its different, not digestable maybe.

AI made me doubt everything about Programming by Felienne Hermans
- This is a good point, if chess was solved by AI in the past 30 years, why are the humans still playing chess olympiad? yeah? Why not just use it and just call it a leisure sport? But its a million dollar industry right?
- Maybe we just co exist with the ai systems for programming? Atleast that is what is happening for now, not sure till when this will keep on going.

I can’t take this anymore
- I can’t take it as well, I am happy to be in a position where the harder parts of my initial days were hard hand programming, literally writing in the paper. But its still intimidating to switch that mode from wanting to know the details but being not forced but kind of forced to use these agents, because everyone is and if you don’t you are a fool.

- Wow. That is something very physical, how did and AI solve this, maybe it was just playing with the equations and making up a situation. AI is really good at this.
- Maths is not solved by AI truly believe me, the intuition is really limited to what humans have perceived and what can fit in the existing knowledge, but to find some thing truly out of the box it is not going to be enough for AI.
Learnt
- If I don’t have to read the code, then I can be ambitious about what can be done
