My thoughts on Opaque types in Python: Opaque types in Python

Commentary

  • Opaque types in Python
  • This is neat. To encapsulate the data and not overwhelming the user of the software to all the details, just providing/exposing the abstract thing to customize or compose the object is better. It lowers the maintenance toll on the developer and prevent the code from bloat and convoluted logic, makes it backwards incompatible.
  • A good idea to keep in mind while designing configuration.
